WHAT’S CHE GOT TO DO WITH IT?
Why is the show of support for Che particularly disgusting? Read The Cult of Che for more:
The cult of Ernesto Che Guevara is an episode in the moral callousness of our time. Che was a totalitarian. He achieved nothing but disaster.
…
But Che was a mainstay of the hardline pro-Soviet faction, and his faction won. Che presided over the Cuban Revolution’s first firing squads. He founded Cuba’s “labor camp” system—the system that was eventually employed to incarcerate gays, dissidents, and AIDS victims.

This is what our soldiers must become …”— and so on.
I’m all for LEGAL immigration. That’s a vital part of our country’s growth. I think we should increase the amount of legal immigrants allowed in our country each year. But we need to stop the flow of illegal immigration. In a time when terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center and murdered thousands of our citizens, the lack of enforcement of illegal immigration is suicidal.
I’m once again disappointed by the lack of backbone displayed by the Republicans in Congress, and their willingness to compromise and give in to Democrats.
Illegal immigrants are harming our economy in some ways - taking jobs from willing American workers. I don’t fault them, though. I fault the employers who see a way to save a buck or two while taking advantage of those in desperate need. However, to make your first action in this country one of breaking the law by entering illegally is wrong.
We need to build that wall, enforce our current laws, get the criminal element of illegals out of our country, and work on helping those who are honest and hard-working become part of a guest-worker program.
