I've been sick since Saturday. Bleah.

Being sick is no fun at all, especially on a weekend. If I ever get to have a choice of when to be sick, I'd prefer it to be on a weekday, when I can use sicktime from work and not cut into my leisure time on the weekend.
I ended up not doing much of anything these last three days other than staying home in my pajamas or sweats and being a bum. I didn't eat much, I slept alot and spent a little time online, and that's about it.
I did watch some more episodes of season three of CSI on Saturday, and will probably be through with all the season three DVDs by the end of November. CSI is an amazing show, always interesting.
At the end of this week the company I work for will be moving to a new location, which is nice in one way, but will also increase my commute from 4 miles to nearly 10 miles one way. It's going to be an interesting drive, but I'm resigned to it. The new location is a neat business park, with old buildings that have lots of character, good and bad. The parking lot isn't right by the building I'll be working in but is about a block away, and I plan to use that to increase my exercise (which is lacking right now). I'm planning to park at the farthest corner of the lot from where I'll be working and get that small amount of walking in, which I think will add up to nearly 1/2 mile a day both ways. Better than nothing!
I was so glad to get home from work tonight. It was a long day and I felt like crud. I informed my coworkers that I finally knew what crud felt like!
I'd like to go to bed early but I need to clean out a corner of my computer/storage room to make space for some of the items I'm bringing home from work. We're only allowed to have the movers move one box per desk so that means I'll have to bring a couple of boxes of work related items home and I don't want to leave them in the car all weekend. I've also accumulated a small amount of personal items that I need to go through and figure out what to keep and what to list on the Sacramento freecycle list.
I also need to go through the hundreds of books that I have and cull them, getting rid of at least half of them, if not 2/3rds. I have a lot of non-Christian romances and think it's time to clear out as much as possible. I'll probably never stop reading non-Christian romances but I need to be a lot more picky with my choices. Thankfully it seems God has been helping me because I'm finding most non-Christian romances to be pretty boring lately.
Thankfully there are plenty of excellent, well-written Christian romances and fiction books out there these days. I can focus my budget on those books, and on re-reading old favorites that I already own.
The weather change here has been beautiful. We've gotten more rain than usual, and last I heard this region is 400% above normal for the year! I've enjoyed the rainy days, and they put me in a bit of a romantic mood. I think of fireplaces, jazz and cuddling with a loved one. Bring on the rain

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, followed speedily by Christmas. I don't know what exactly I'll be doing for Thanksgiving - it seems my family is going a bunch of different directions this year - but I'll be getting out my Christmas decorations the following day and will begin doing some decorating inside the house
I'm only planning to put up my small 3 foot fiberoptic tree this year, but also plan to decorate the living room and dining room a little in order to enjoy the season.
A local radio station (
Y92) plays nothing but Christmas music all December, and I'll probably have it there most of the time at work. At home Dish Network has a holiday music channel that plays some good selections and I'll probably have that on quite a bit.
That weekend I'll probably also begin working on the Christmas cards I want to send...about 50 or so

A lot, I know! I think I'll do a letter to avoid having to write much inside the cards and avoid getting writer's cramp. I'll definitely have to buy some address labels and use those for the cards.
Yup, lots to do this time of year!
