The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you in His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

Can you conceive it?? God is rejoicing over you with gladness and with
singing...what a wonderful thing that is! He loves you that much. He sees
your failures, your faults, and He loves you still. To Him, you are a
precious person, worth singing and rejoicing over.
Our tendency is to remember our mistakes, and to wonder how God could love us
when we fall so short all the time. That's not what God is looking at,
however. When He looks at us, He sees His creation, and each of us is special
to Him. He's not tallying up your mistakes, waiting for that 'perfect' moment
when you are defeated, to drag them all out and lecture you about them, one by
one.....once they've been forgiven, they're forgotten. And our God will quiet
you with His love.
Lord, as I fall short again today, help me to remember that You are rejoicing
over me with gladness, and that You are singing over me....and help me to
realize how special I am to You, and that Your love for me is endless.
