Morning Glories Daily Devotionals
~ March 5 ~

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

~ Proverbs 13:12

Sometimes being hopeful seems....well, hopeless! We hope, we wait, we watch and pray, and as each day passes with no sign of the hope coming to pass, we slowly give up. It seems pointless to hang on. Our hopes will never come true, our prayers will never be answered....or so we think.

Is hoping in God in vain for us? Is waiting for the promises of His word futile? No! God's timing is not our timing. He sees our lives far more clearly than we ourselves can, and His timing is perfect. He is the Master Weaver, working all things according to His plans, seeking to give His best to His children, crying with them but knowing the joy that lies ahead. He knows the minutes of our days and knows just the right time to provide the answer to our prayers, our hopes, our dreams. Psalm 30:5 says "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

Hang on in this time of hopelessness and despair, and rejoice! For you have a Living Hope within you, One who gave His life for you and desires to give you His best. Morning is coming, and it's closer than you realize. God is working in the darkness, and His greatest works are done there, and when the light comes His glory will be revealed. You are His child, His love, His dream, and He will never leave you or forsake you. Trust in Him today and He will be faithful, for that is His nature.

In Jesus' name,
Amen!!
