Thank You for Your will,
Lord.
If I followed my will,
my life would be a shambles,
for desires of the flesh
are wayward
and they turn my eyes
away from You.
Only by allowing You
to work Your will
in my life
does the path I follow
become clear.
My desires are but passing fancies,
wisps easily blown about
by any passing breeze.
The desires You give me
stand firm
in the strongest storm
and take me
ever closer to You.

Thank You,
Lord,
for calming the turmoil
within me.
I can once again
focus on You
as I turn away from the world.
I may not always
feel Your presence
with me;
Sometimes I feel
so alone.
But when I turn
to You for help
You are there,
and how I love You
for that.
A solid rock,
My shelter from the storm,
My only Lord,
My God.

Oh Lord,
make me more like You.
I desire to serve You
I want to grow
in the light of Your love,
to minister with joy
and thanksgiving.
Fill my heart with the desire
to serve You
before all other wants.
You should be the most important
one in my life, Lord,
yet I find myself wandering off,
turning back to the world
and its ways.
Create in me a clean heart
and a pure mind, Lord.
I confess my sins to You,
and ask that You fill me
with the desires You want me
to have.
Make me a vessel of Your love
for the rest of my days.

Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Compromise

"It's really not that bad,"
I heard the devil say,
"It's only just a little bit,
It'll brighten up your day.
Come on, you deserve it,
Look at all that you've been through.
Really, it's quite harmless,
What can this much do?"
Compromise can kill you,
It will lead your soul astray,
and the path you set your feet upon
will choose your final day.
Watch your footsteps closely,
Guard your mind and heart.
The choices that you make today
will play a vital part.
Heaven or hell? Which will you choose?
Your choice begins today.
Is it the path that leads to God,
Or the wide and easy way?

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

When you're feeling lost and lonely,
and depression consumes you
Remember
God cares for you
No matter what you do.
Your sins may seem large
and beyond compare,
Your past a burden
You could never share.
God knows how you are feeling,
He wants to see you through.
The path that you have followed
has brought this chance to you.
Turn away from you old life
erase it from your mind,
and by God's loving mercy,
You'll leave it far behind.
Yes, you can believe this,
God's Word is ever true.
I know because He changed my life
He can do the same for you.
